Scoring & progress

Reading your Performance page and Trade Journal

The Overview and Journal tabs, and how to use them to find what to fix next.

Performance is where the Lab keeps everything it remembers about you. It has two tabs.

Overview

Your headline metrics — Decision Quality, patience, consistency — with how they are trending, your weakness heatmap, and your recent sessions. The heatmap is the useful part: it is a rolling read on each dimension, so it points at the habit that is costing you most right now rather than the one that cost you most once.

Journal

The full log. Per lesson and per session you get the score, the mission result, the trade count, and every individual trade with its entry, exit, bars held, result and its grade. You can filter to a single lesson to see whether a habit has actually changed since you last drilled it.

How to actually use it

  1. Look at the heatmap, not the P&L. Find the lowest dimension.
  2. Open the Journal and filter to your recent sessions. Read the one-line notes on the losing trades — the pattern is usually the same sentence three times.
  3. Go do the lesson that drills it. The workspace suggests one for exactly this reason.
  4. Come back in a few sessions and check whether that dimension moved.
On a free account the Performance page shows your three most recent sessions. Lab Pro keeps the full history, which is what makes the trend readable over weeks rather than days.

Why some sessions are marked unranked

Trades are played in your browser and posted back at the end. If the posted trades do not match the chart they were supposedly played on, the session still saves and still coaches you — it just does not count towards the leaderboard. It is there to keep the Hall of Discipline honest, and you will never hit it by trading normally.

Reminder. The Trading Lab is an educational simulation running on synthetic data with play capital. Nothing here is investment advice, no buy or sell call is given on any real security, and no claim is made about returns.

Try it in the Arena.

Reading about it only goes so far — the skill comes from the reps.
