Troubleshooting — chart, sessions and starting over

The handful of things that go wrong, and what to do about each.

The chart will not load

The Arena draws its chart in your browser, so a blocked script or a very old browser will show an empty panel. Refresh first. If it persists, try a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, and check whether an extension is blocking scripts on the page.

I want to start over

Press End session to close the current one and get your scorecard, then open the Arena again — every session is a fresh, unseen chart. There is no penalty for ending a session early, and no reason to sit through a chart you are not learning anything from.

My session ended unexpectedly

Closing the tab or losing connection mid-session leaves it unfinished. Unfinished sessions do not score and do not affect your streak or heatmap. Just start a new one.

Switching timeframe restarted my chart

That is intentional. A replay cannot be re-cut mid-session without showing you information you did not have at the time, so a timeframe change starts a fresh chart. Decide your timeframe before you start.

My session says it is not ranked

Trades are played in your browser and posted back when the session ends. If the posted trades do not line up with the chart they were played on, the session still saves and still coaches you, but it does not count towards the leaderboard. Normal trading will not trigger this.

The Lab is hard to use on my phone

It works on a phone for reading and light practice, but the Arena is a chart-and-ticket workspace — a laptop or desktop is genuinely a better experience, and it is what we would recommend for real practice.

An indicator has a padlock on it

VWAP, RSI, MACD and ADX are Lab Pro features. EMA 9, EMA 20 and SMA 50 are available on every account.

Something else

If none of this covers it, get in touch and tell us what you were doing when it happened.

Reminder. The Trading Lab is an educational simulation running on synthetic data with play capital. Nothing here is investment advice, no buy or sell call is given on any real security, and no claim is made about returns.

Try it in the Arena.

Reading about it only goes so far — the skill comes from the reps.
